Students design an original game and use
Word or PowerPoint to create directions. A variation on this
activity would be to take an established game and create directions for
play.

Tracking Nutrition
|
Science teacher
Russell Gilbert’s unit on nutrition features spreadsheets as food for
thought, literally. Students analyze the
content of food found in the school's vending machine. A variation
on this activity could involve students tracking the food they eat in a
week's time period. Students input the data they collect from the
various foods’ nutritional panels into a spreadsheet.
