  2012 Spelling Bee

Kindergarten

Just before Christmas break, the kindergarten classes got together to make gingerbread houses.  Many parent volunteers helped out and we're not sure who had more fun!

Second Grade

Ms. Britt's class had a wonderful time with Santa right before Christmas.  They have been very busy since they have come back reading and writing.  They wrote stories about their favorite heroes and letters to Martin Luther King.  Both second grade classes have been busy practicing for their performance for PTO.

Fourth Grade

Our 4-H extension leaders came to show us the proper way to wash our hands.  After putting on lotion, we washed our hands and then held them up to a black light.  Imagine our surprise at what was left!  We are all taking more time to wash our hands.

Mrs. Tyrell's class has been very busy studying measurement in science since we came back from Christmas.  We have used many different tools to measure with.  We were very surprised to learn than our height and our arm span is very close in length.
