Screen Shots
Would you like to learn to create screen shots of your computer screen without having to purchase an expensive photo editing software or learning a complicated program?  If so, Paint is for you!  Paint is part of the Windows Accessories and can be used to create screen shots by using the Print Screen Key on your keyboard.  Here's how:

1.  While viewing the desired screen, press the Print Screen key (Prt Sc) on your keyboard.
2.  Click the Start button...go up to Programs...over to Accessories...then click Paint.
3.  Once the Paint program has opened, click Edit...Paste.  This will paste the screen image in the Paint program.

The file can now be named and saved the file by clicking File...Save As...
4.  Select the location in which you wish to save the file.  Also give the file a name and choose a file type....gif and .jpg files usually work with most word processing programs.

Microsoft Photo Editor, which comes with Office is an even better way to save screen shots.  Use the same method, but paste them in Photo Editor.  This software will allow you to manipulate the image by resizing, rotating, creating transparencies, and cutting away unwanted areas.  The program can be installed from the Office Tools section on the Microsoft Office CD.  Before installing it, click Start...Find...Files and Folders...and type Photo Editor to see if it has already been installed.

If you locate the above icon you already have the program installed.  Right click on the Photoed.exe file name and select Create Shortcut.  You will receive a message that the shortcut cannot be placed here but can be placed on the desktop instead, click OK.
