Great On-line Games and Web 2.0 for use in the classroom.

  • Great site for educational games for grades k-12 - all areas
  • 3D Pop-up books from Zooburst.com.  ZooBurst books “live” online and can be experienced using nothing more than a web browser running the Adobe Flash plug-in.  Create a book with 10 pages for free and up to 10 books/account/year.

  • Animoto - create 30 sec movies online with music and text for free.  Educators may apply for a free full access pass for use in the classroom.

  • Pixlr - online advanced image editor

  • Photoshop.com  - online photo sharing, editing and hosting resource

  • PicArtia - A powerful free and online photo collage maker in 3 easy steps.

Thinkfinity is an another source for new and challenging activities for students.  The site is comprehensive digital learning platform built upon the merger of two acclaimed programs Verizon MarcoPolo and the Thinkfinity Literacy Network.  Thinkfinity draws upon the strength of their content partners, who produce a wealth of discipline-specific, standards-based educational resources.  Visit a few of my favorite sites:
