Rush Strong School

!!Recycles!!

The community can help by sending the below items to school with their children.

We also need volunteers to wash out the drink pouches.

Please contact via email your child's teacher or Mary John Wilson.

Help our school by collecting:

Nabisco cookie wrappers (100 calorie snacks and large size cookie packages);

Capri Sun and               Kool-Aid Jammers pouches,

Frito Lay potato chip bags (large and small sizes),

Huggies wrappers                      For more information click here

...........corks, tape dispensers, cell phones, iPods, and ink jet cartridges.

Recycle zipper bags (like Ziploc bags)...2 cents each.

That doesn't sound like a lot, but think of how many kids bring them in their lunch everyday!

Please help by reminding your students to recycle their bags in the "recycling center" across from the water
machine.  And, save yours at home and bring them in!  I put one of those reusable shopping bags on my laundry room door and put all my capri sun pouches, cookie wrappers, and ziploc bags in it and bring it to school
when it's full!  Thanks, MJ

 RSS recycles:

  • Expo markers,

  • Sharpie brand markers

  • Paper Mate brand pens

Please don't throw these items away anymore!

There is a box at the "recycling center" (by the water machine)
for these items.  Don't forget there is also a box there for empty glue
sticks and glue bottles.  We get money for these!

We have the three students that collect paper, plastic, and aluminum.  These items are picked up every two weeks.

So far, we have made almost $200 from collecting trash!!

We have sent in over 4,000 juice pouches, 1,700 cookie wrappers, and 1,000 potato chip bags.
