Reading Enrichment Arts Community Home

 

March 13thAuthor visit: Michael Shoulders  Students and teachers will meet with Dr. Shoulders during the school day.  He will be at the family literacy night to meet with families and sign his books. 

 

Family Reading Night Thursday January 31st

Former 2nd grade teacher, Maxine Baumgardner, will be our special guest of honor.  She will be reading her famous spooky stories.  Each student will receive a free book.  There will also be free refreshments for all.  The book fair will also be open late.

 

Project Reach brought Davy Crockett, presented by the Tin Soldier Players, to Rush Strong.  It was a fantastic musical. 

Family Reading Night November 13th What a great success!  Approximately 125 people attended the first family reading night.  The next family reading night is Thursday January 31st.

Project Reach brought the Vagabond Marionette show Hansel and Gretel to Rush Strong Students.  The show was a wonder!  At the end of the show, the curtains were brought down and students got a behind the stage look at the magic.  See the photos.

Project REACH received 4 boxes of books from Ms. Eveline V. Harris
in Mesa, Arizona.  Students are shown with just a few of their favorite
titles.  The students are sending Ms. Harris a thank you card for all
the donated books.

The goal of Project REACH is to provide children in Jefferson County with quality learning experiences aimed at increasing literacy skills.
