Current Events

September:

• 1 - Labor Day No school for students or staff

• 2-5 - Yearbook sales

• 8 - PLC meetings for k-2 and 6-8th teachers 3:30-4:30 in the Library

• 9 &10 - School Pictures

• 12 - Midterm reports go home

• 12 - PTO meeting 5:30

• 15 - PLC meeting for 3-5 teachers in the Library from 3:30-4:40

• 22 - Professional Development Day (students off)

• 29 - Homecoming Pep Rally and Medic Blood Drive

• 30 - RSS Homecoming events begin 5:45 game following at 6:30 PM against Bulls Gap.

• 30 - Kindergarten field trip, Farm Day

October:

• 1 - Letters will be sent home October 1^st letting parents know the tutoring schedule. 
• 1 - 7:20, Art Club meeting in the art room. 
• 1 - YOKE club will be starting on WEDNESDAY.   All 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th graders are invited to come to the auditorium at 3:30.   Students should make sure to be picked up at 4:30 in the front of the school.   All transportation arrangements must be made before you come to school on Wednesday.           
• 3 - Fundraiser Kickoff
• 3 - All picture proofs and orders must be turned.
• 6 - Tutoring begins
• 7 - Community Technology classes begin October 7^th at 7:00 PM through May 5^th.  They will meet the first Tuesday of every month.  The October class will be an overview of computers, what they can do for you.  Classes are designed for novices, but everyone is welcome.
• 10 - End of First Nine Weeks
• 23 - Grade Cards go home
• 27 - October 27^th, 4:00 – 7:00, parent/teacher conferences
