Congratulations! Mark Finchum, White Pine School, received the 2002 American History Teacher of the Year award from the Andrew Bogle Chapter (Knoxville) of the TSDAR, Tennessee Society, Daughters of the American Revolution.  Winning the chapter award, qualified him to compete on the state level with other teachers representing the more than 100 other DAR chapters statewide.  Mark is pictured above at the state conference of the DAR, receiving the statewide 2002 American History Teacher of the Year award at the Hyatt Regency in Knoxville.  He was also elected by social studies teachers of all levels from all over the United States to serve on the Board of Directors for the National Council for the Social Studies.  We are proud of Mark and his accomplishments!
