Jefferson Elementary School has begun a Bullying Prevention Program.

A pep rally kicked off the program for the students. The teachers were enthusiastic and very amusing cheerleaders!

There was a wonderful turnout for the fun and informative parent night that was held February 15th. Each grade level had "courses" to offer information and educate students and parents about making our school a safe and bully free learning environment. After attending at least 3 of the classes, the students were awarded their diplomas from the Bully Prevention University!

Bullying behaviors include teasing, exclusion, threatening and spreading rumors.

Our school will focus on four rules to help prevent bullying:

Rule 1: We will not bully others.

Rule 2: We will try to help students who are bullied.

Rule 3: We will try to include students who are left out.

Rule 4: If we know that somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
