| My Game’s the Best in Town
Grade Level: 3rd-8th Overview: Students create their own original game to be played by others. Objectives
45 minutes to plan the game Time for each cooperative group to play games. Materials:
1. Organize students in cooperative groups of 4-5. 2. Discuss the types of physical education games typically played. Review the rules that area associated with games. Give each group on or more pieces of equipment that is typically associated with games. Then give the groups a piece of equipment that is not associated with games and a station (area) where the game will be played. 3. Instruct student to design and develop a game that can be played
with 4-5 group members using the equipment provided.
4. Once the members have planned the game the directions should be written down and later typed on the computer using a word processor, printed, and distributed to the class. 5. The games will be played as teams move around the game stations. Related Activites/Sites:
