TEACHING, LEARNING, AND THE CURRICULUM.
Teachers implement curriculum plans, which include methods and strategies for applying technology to maximize student learning. Teachers:

A.     Facilitate technology-enhanced experiences that address content standards and student  technology standards.

B.     Use technology to support learner-centered strategies that address the diverse needs of students.

C.     Apply technology to develop students' higher order skills and creativity.

D.     Manage student learning activities in a technology-enhanced environment.

 

Teachers will engage in the following activities:

  1. Techniques for locating and evaluating internet material appropriate for classroom instruction and resources aligning with the Tennessee Curriculum Standards.
  2. Strategies for reading and writing in the content area as well as across the curriculum.
  3. Development of classroom resources (PowerPoint presentations, interactive games, web pages, and an instructional pod cast) that are integrated with technology.
  4. All materials created will shared with other teachers in the county via the Jefferson County web page.
