To the Parents of Car Riders,

     In a continued effort to make car rider dismissal safer and more efficient, I would like to ask you to reinforce to your child/children the following rules:

1.      Come to the front of the building as soon as car riders are dismissed

2.      Sit with your grade level or younger sibling – students must sit in the grade level of the youngest sibling at car riders

3.      Face the road at all times in order to identify your car

4.      Talk in a quiet voice unless teachers request silence

5.      Leave items inside backpack – including food, snacks, drinks, books, toys, papers, etc.

6.      Wear coat if it is cold – students will not be allowed to go into building to wait for ride

7.      Be ready to leave when name is called

Parents should display a name card in the front window of their car when picking up a child.  This allows the teachers on car duty to identify the parent.  Parents should not park in the front of the school and leave the car unattended.   Parents of students in grades 1-5 should pull down to the end of the drop-off area in order to pick up a child.  Kindergarten students are picked up at the first awning.  If you park in the lower parking lot and walk up to get your child, please notify a teacher on duty before you leave with your child.  I ask for your patience and your cooperation each and every dayJ
