Using ICQ software students will compete with other
classes to be the first team to locate and correct comma errors in sentences
Time Frame
30 minute session
Objectives
In this lesson, students will:

Apply what they know about comma rules to find errors
in sentences.

Practice proofreading.

Practice keyboarding.
Materials
Software Used in this Lesson
Procedure
-
The teacher will prearrange with other classes
a time to play the game.

They will need to decide which student will
be the typist to input class information.

The host class will provide the sentences
with comma errors.
-
The participating classes will respond.
-
The first class to correctly submit their
answer will receive one point.

The sentences may be grouped as a theme (
to experience cross-curricular content) or as random sentences.
