Snow Day Calendar Adjustments

The calendar committee met and established the following make-up schedule in the event that additional snow days are used this school year:

• Snow Day 1 - Recoup January 29, 2010 by changing Feb. 12 (Winter Break) to a student day
• Snow Days 2 & 3 - The State Department of Education has waived two stockpiled days, September 28 and 29, which were used for flu.  This will waive Snow Days 2 and 3 (February 10 and 11).
• February 16 (Teacher In-service) will be recouped by requiring teachers to make up 6 hours of self-selected in-service credit.

May 27 and 28 will be added to the end of the year if additional snow days are necessary.  Only these two days can be added due to the date of graduation and the requirement that seniors attend 175 days.  If additional make-up days are required, the Calendar Committee will review the remaining options (either Spring Break or Saturday classes).
