Fidelity of implementation is the
delivery of the scientific research-based instruction in the way in which it
is designed to be delivered. Fidelity also addresses the integrity with
which the screening and progress-monitoring procedures are completed and
that appropriate decisions are made based on the data.
Best practices to help ensure fidelity include:
• Link curriculum-based interventions to improved outcomes.
• Clearly define responsibilities for specific persons.
• Create documentation and data collection for measuring progress,
techniques, and components.
• Create a system for feedback and decision-making.
See “Documentation Cover Page” for tier-to-tier decision making.
